As air pollution worsens, face masks have become a daily necessity. We need to find a balance between economic development and environmental protection to prevent further damage. The give and take between humans and earth. What is the balance between economic/development and air pollution? What are the solutions that promote economic development while protecting our planet at the same time?

 

The design concept incorporates raincoats/masks signifies the need for protection against air pollution, representing the daily necessity of face masks in polluted environments. The material used, PEVA, serves as a representation of the environment engulfed in smog, emphasizing the urgency of the situation. Additionally, the inclusion of an oxygen cylinder as the heel completes the design, symbolizing the importance of clean air for our well-being. By integrating these elements, the concept aims to prompt reflection on the relationship between economic development and air pollution.
